What is Electrical Safety Certificate ?

Electrical safety certificate: as registered NICEIC electricians we can carry out an electrical report confirming that the electrical installation has been assessed and is safe to use. For that you need the electrical safety certificate now known as an Electrical Installation Condition Report – EICR (This was previously known as a Periodic Inspection Report or PIR). The Electrical Safety Council recommend that this report is carried out every five years or on change of tenancy. As a local electrician situated in Barnet EN5, we currently deal with testing ex-council owned properties that are in the private rental market and privately owned. Providing private landlords/ letting agents with certification satisfying both their own requirement to ensure the safety of the property and also the Local Authorities requirements as the freeholder.

Portable Appliance Testing

It is also an important requirement (although not a legal requirement) that any electrical appliances provided by the landlord have an up to date PAT (Portable Appliance Test) sticker on them. PAT Testing is also a service we offer.

Domestic Electrical Installation Certificate

As experienced domestic electrical contractors we certify all our work confirming that any recent electrical work meets the UK National Standard BS7671 (The Wiring Regulations). Additionally if you are carrying out wok in your home or garden, as an installing registered with a competent persons scheme we automatically notify the work to your local building control.

Electrical Safety Certification and work in a Commercial Building

As NICEIC approved contractors we also certificate all work carried out in commercial properties. Again all work will be done to current regulations and will additionally meet the Electricity at Work regulations 1989.The type of certification we provide for commercial environments range from Minor works Certificates through to full Electrical Installation Condition Reports.

Emergency Light Testing and Certification

We offer emergency light testing, be it monthly of a full year drain down. We can provide a schedule of test results and certification for this work.
